The Show

NightBirds is a ritual of song and dance crafted from the music of the singular 20th-century composer and avid ornithologist Oliver Messiaen. NightBirds is an immersion into his ecstatic vision of the connected universe and a contemplation on contemporary environmental precarity. Currently a work in progress, NightBirds will be furthered developed at the Pocantico Center as a part of a grant from the Rockefeller Brothers Fund in January 2023.

We look forward to sharing NightBirds with all of you. Stay tuned for information on open rehearsals at the Pocantico Center and a work in process showing in New York City.
