For twenty years, Debby and Shoshanna were neighbors in an Upper West Side co-op until Debby moved away during the pandemic. When Debby’s life tragically changes, the two women are pulled further apart, then back together again. Protection is a darkly comic, cosmic thriller about other people’s pain.
