Rebecca Hargrove
Rebecca L. Hargrove is currently playing the role of Mrs. Webb in Thornton Wilder’s Our Town at Baltimore Center Stage and can be heard on Terence Blanchard’s feature film soundtrack for The Woman King, now in theaters. She recently premiered Tara Wilson-Noth’s play B.R.O.K.E.N Code B.I.R.D Switching in the role of Katherine Morgan at Berkshire Theater Group. This past season she performed the roles of Christina/Lidia with New York City Opera in Ricky Ian Gordon’s The Garden of the Finzi-Contini at The National Yiddish Theater Folksbiene, rejoined The Metropolitan Opera in their productions of Fire Shut up in My Bones (Blanchard), Die Meistersinger (Wagner), and Gershwin’s Porgy and Bess (2021 ‘Best Opera Album’ Grammy Award Winner). Rebecca also returned to Carnegie Hall for Julia Wolfe’s Steel Hammer with the Bang on a Can Allstars.
In previous seasons Rebecca was featured in New York City Center’s Evita, The New York Gilbert and Sullivan Players’ The Mikado as Yum-Yum, Bard Summerscape’s Acquanetta as Acquanetta, and premiered the role of The Mother in The Grey Land, available on all streaming platforms.
Rebecca’s television and film credits include House of Cards (Netflix), Random Acts of Flyness (HBO), Single Record (Revry), My Asian Auntie (Amazon), The Wilsons (web series), Interstate 15 (short film), and The Fix (Youtube). Under her own production company, KSRH Productions LLC with Kedren Spencer, she looks forward to the release of their first film Last Call.
