Milie Nelson
Milie (they/them) is an artist based in NYC. They began their dance training at age two and have been experimenting with film, photography, and visual art for most of their life. In 2020 Milie graduated from Marymount Manhattan College, earning a BFA in Dance with a Concentration in Choreography. During that time they worked with choreographers such as Andrea Miller, John Heginbotham, Michael Waldrop, and more. Milie has also had the opportunity to work closely with Ohad Naharin during the Batsheva Dance Company Summer Intensive, in Tel Aviv Israel during 2017-2019. Alongside dance, they have done professional work in photography and film, working with companies such as, Sidra Bell Dance New York, CreateART, GALLIM, and more. Their original film, “THE RED ZONE” is featured in 92Y’s 2020 Mobile Dance Film Festival.
