Lacy Rose

Lacy Rose is a lyric poet, composer and vocalist who resides in New York City and regales listeners with tales of magic, myth, tragic and eternal love. She has opened for and performed with such eclectic artists as Cocorosie, Baby Dee, Dave Malloy, Amanda Palmer, Jason Webley, Sxip Shirey, and Carol Lipnik. With her Starling Quartet, Rose has performed her Baroque Cabaret at venues such as the McKittrick Hotel (home of Sleep No More), National Sawdust, the TANK, Owl Music Parlor, HERE Arts Center, the Triad Theater, Rockwood Music Hall, the Laurie Beechman Theater, and Pangea. She recently released her singles “More and More” and “Sure as the Stars,” surrealistic standards for the lost technicolor films of the 1940s, recorded and produced by John Agnello (Sonic Youth, Kurt Vile). She is currently working on her song cycle/concept album, LISPECTOR, devoted to the author Clarice Lispector’s glamorous, complicated, and radical life and works. Lacyrosemusic.com
