Curtis Howard
Curtis Howard (technical director) (he/him) is an NYC-based actor, dancer, theater maker, and dedicated sourdough baker. He is a creative producer for COLE JAZZ and a founding member of the theater dance company, The Jack Cole Dancers. His passion is telling dance stories about dance people, and he calls his work “dancing plays.” In addition to dancing he’s always had a love for technical theater that spans making costumes, headdresses, and masks for Ringling Bros Circus to a carp on theater productions. When the quarantine happened he saw an opportunity to return to school in the CUNY Baccalaureate Program, where he custom designed a BA in the Business of Dance Production; since graduating, he’s been active in off- and off-off Broadway theater. He’s directed and choreographed with Village Verein Orchestra at Alchemical Studios and The Tank (Stravinsky’s The Soldier’s Tale), production managed at Theatre Row (Relapse), tech directed at ART/NY (Powerline Road, Shadows), and is a theater manager at Theater 555. PLUS he has a House Manager hustle with a full staff of ushers, F03 Certified HMs, and Box Office Personnel. His blue-sky dream is to have a multi-theater complex in the LIC/Astoria area of Queens, where he can develop bio-dance pieces for stage, TV, and film. www.Curtis-Howard.com #ringmastersourdough
